Field Trip to Millennium Restaurant:
FROM SEED TO MARKET TO TABLE

This summer 4th graders from Las Americas CDC experienced part of our food system first hand. Students took a tour of San Francisco's award winning Millennium Restaurant, which specializes in vegan cuisine. Students learned how Millennium used recycled and natural products to build their dining area, then toured the kitchen and discussed how eating habits can affect our bodies and our environment. At the end of the tour, students sat down for a snack of chocolate soy milk and organic fruit salad. Yum!
